About the Attorney Sosa

I am a first-generation Mexican American, one of five children who were born to Mexican parents in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My parents left behind their families, their degrees, and the only life they knew to seek a better future in the United States. My father worked as a truck driver, and my mother was a teacher for 26 years. Their tireless work and sacrifices in ensuring that we had everything we needed laid the foundation for my siblings and me to succeed. It is because of my parents’ lived experience that I understand firsthand the cost of leaving one’s home country in pursuit of better opportunities.

Furthermore, it has instilled in me the responsibility to use my voice for those who live in constant fear of facing possible immigration consequences. As a Latina and an American citizen, I am grateful to live without the fear many individuals face. It is a privilege that I do not take lightly, and I use it to advocate for families seeking the same opportunities that my parents obtained for me. Although my journey as an attorney began in 2020, my passion for immigration law had been brewing long before that. Before law school, I participated in marches and events with Voces de La Frontera in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting for the rights of undocumented individuals.

Knowing honest and hard-working people who lived in fear due to their immigration status fueled my resolve to face the challenges of immigration law as an attorney. In 2020, I began my career as an immigration attorney with Legal Aid of Collier County in Florida. Thereafter, I worked as a prosecutor in Florida, gaining experience in litigation and exposure to immigration consequences through the criminal justice system. After my time as a prosecutor, I returned to immigration law with a renewed purpose. In 2025, I also became a member of the Wisconsin State Bar.

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and, above all, a follower of Jesus Christ. Guided by His will, I have discerned my commitment to serving others as an immigration attorney rooted in justice and dignity. I am dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal issues with clarity, compassion, and a purpose-driven approach. Whether you are just beginning your immigration journey or facing complex legal matters, I am here to stand with you and provide reliable advocacy and care every step of the way.
